7 Tips So You Do Not Write A Boring Post Anymore

Are you tired of reading posts that tell you more about yourself? Now it is OK!

We can not allow the Internet to continue to be flooded with articles that have neither feet nor heads: impossible to read, soporific, insipid, repetitive and most unnecessary.

Because it’s not fair.

It is a waste of time for everyone.

But, above all, it is not fair to our customers.

Do not put them to sleep with an illegible technical treatise.

Give them a text that motivates them to keep reading, and to get to know you better.

1. Know Your Readers.

At this point, especially if you have been reading this blog for a while, you will clearly see that your business can not work if you do not know who you are selling to.

The same happens with the writing of posts on your blog. If you do not know who you are writing for, it will be impossible for you to write about topics that truly interest you, in the tone of voice that best suits your style.

Once you identify your audience, you will know what motivates them and why. 

2. It Captures Your Attention.

And that was said decades ago by the poor writer frustrated with his readers. Imagine now, with the distraction that is the digital user of today! That’s why you have to do everything you can to get their attention and not let them go: from your title to the sentence that closes your post.

Each word has to be designed to seduce you. Each paragraph has to flow melodically so that the text becomes pleasant and easy to read.

An impeccable score and grammar will also prevent “the saint from going to heaven”;)

3. Have Fun.

Yes, you have to have fun.

Because the world is already dreary enough to remind you constantly. Humor is one of the most attractive techniques you can use in your blog. It is true, not all audiences will be receptive to a good dose of humor, but most do.

A light, healthy, and always appropriate humor. That kind of humor is human and helps you establish a quick and effective connection.

How do you apply it?

Amile stepan, fellow copywriter, gives us an example that she herself has used for one of her clients. It turns out that this good man, wanted to sell computer products to an audience that did not have much knowledge on the subject.

Tere wrote an article that began with the following introduction:

4. Show Them That What You Write Is Important.

If your readers ask themselves these kinds of questions when reading your text, you can be sure that what you have written is boring and insubstantial.

You have wasted your time and they have lost your time.

Plant yourself:

  • What is the purpose of this article?
  • What do I want the reader to get out of it?
  • What do I have to do to share it?

Do not give them the opportunity to doubt the value of your text for a second.

5. Be Creative And Passionate.

No, it’s not easy.

But creativity is not exclusive to just a few.

All you have to do is open your eyes, take notes, and have the predisposition to create.

That is, something that previously would have gone completely unnoticed, now, with your eyes as a copywriter, can represent an interesting anecdote for your readers: from the opinion of your readers on social networks, to social bookmarking platforms such as Delicious ,  StumbleUpon  or  it , to your favorite Youtuber.

Everything is as long as it is captivating and relevant. Everything is fine as long as it’s your passion. Because if you are passionate about it, surely your audience will be a marvel.

If you are passionate about the subject you are writing about, the reader will perceive your passion ,and if you are passionate about what you are writing, you will reflect your experience, your creativity and your knowledge.

6. Be Unique.

I suggest you take a look at your competition. Do you have a blog? What type of articles do they write? Are they interesting or somnolent? Write as you write, you have to try to overcome them.

We return to the same thing: not everyone is a born writer.

But you will notice that with time and practice you are improving (and if not, then you already know that there are professionals of the subject that you can turn to 🙂

The important thing is that you say something new. And that, although that topic has already been talked about (which, in fact, has been talked about most issues), your approach is different, fresh and innovative.

Try to give them a chance with an original text.

7. Be Useful.

The utility: very important. You know, humans are like that: somewhat interested. If we are not going to take advantage of something, goodbye very good.

Apply this principle in all your digital texts, even in the posts of your blog.

Because for the reader to stay hooked to the screen, you have to be very clear about what you are going to get as a reward for that time you are investing.
